Why didn't I think of this before?!

Ok guys - indulge me here..... we all know Mily from different areas of her life. We know favorite teams, foods, funny inside jokes and all that. While hospitalized and sedated, she is missing out on how the Packers are doing (I don't follow football so someone's gonna have to help me out here) and lots of other small details like how much it's rained in Olympia these last 12 days. Take a moment to think about what you have experienced recently that you would normally talk about with Mily and post it either as a comment on the blog or to the email address we've set up for her. The loss of time to a critically ill patient can be traumatic once they are healing and have an understanding of the time span they've missed. Let's help her out so when she's ready she will be able to read about the world's goings on from those who love her. It will make the eventual transition easier for her. Talk to her as you normally would - hard I know, but cathartic I think as well. Let's keep the prayers up, but keep her in the loop of life as well.
I just got off the phone with today's nurse and they were headed out the door for another head CT. Just a follow-up, no alarming changes. Once they are back and settled, I will get a more comprehensive update. Melissa is enroute to Washington as well, so I will get a good update from her once she's there. Since we are beginning to have multiple authors to the blog, I (Bethany) will sign my entries now with the initial 'B' - it always alarms me a little to think I'm reading one persons' point of view only to find out it was someone else.

  3. Mily - we are praying for you and know you are fighting as much as you can. I know your Packers are doing well, but got to tell you the San Diego Chargers are awesome as well. We do hope to have one of our teams in the upcoming Super Bowl. Just do not want the Cowboys (sorry Christina) there. While we enjoyed the rain when Becky and I were there to be with you and the family, the sun is shining brightly here in San Diego. Just like your smile. That alone makes me smile. I love you and stay strong. Aunt Vicki

  4. It's Lisa again! Here's your GB Packers update! The Packers look to take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at 1:40pm our time! The Cheeseheads will fly to Univ of Phoenix stadium where you will see Kurt Warner take on Aaron Rodgers! GB won their last meeting 33-6 which was just last week!! Looks like there might be a repeat! For GB, the probowl cornerback Charles Woodson was injured in last game but looks to be ok for this weekend! There are some key injuries for Arizona and they know they got some work but they haven't lost a playoff match in AZ yet! Me personally Mily girl....I'm going for my COWBOYS!!! Ha ha ha! Will let you know what happens in the game!

Well Mily, you still have a lot of work to do, I know you thought that I was going to say rest and take it easy didn't you? Well I know that you are resting up now for the work that you have ahead of you! Miss getting the pictures of you and the boys we will have to have Dan start taking some pictures for you to look at when you wake up so that you don't feel like you have missed very much! Josh is going to be a sidekick on a internet radio show and he is very excited about it. Jason got a job and he and Diana should be moving in a month or so. Marcos got the darned flu so I am making him sleep on the couch, I know stop laughing but he likes the couch. I told him that he can't cough all over me and get me sick I don't have any sick time left. You guys will have to come down when you can and we will do crab legs! Doesn't that sound good? I will keep you up to date on the going on's of my family as much as possible.
Love you and hope your healing begins muey rapido! Talk to you soon Mils! Hugs, Aunt Jodi

  7. What's up Millers! It's Jo Jo your little brother. I love you and miss you tons. You'll be happy to know, I've started to dress better. Ha ha. I know you hate it when I'm always in shorts and a t-shirt. So I'm wearing lots of collared shirts and nice pants and shoes so that when you see me next you'll be impressed. Leslie and I are doing great. We just miss you so much. We owe you for all the selfless help you've given us since before we were married and after. Also, Leslie gave her first talk in church and it went great! She is so strong you would be so proud of her.She is easily outgrowing me everyday in the gospel and that compels me to do the same.I remember always walking into your room and finding you studying the scriptures with absolute diligence. You are an example to me. Thank you always sista. i love you.

  8. Mily, it's Sherry, Beth D.'s mom. I hear you are a Packers fan so I would assume you also have a "thing" for Brett Favre. To let you know, even tho' he went to the Vikes, he is still doing his fans proud. I am waiting anxiously for any and all improvements to your condition. Please know that we are all "on your side" and willing to do whatever you need as you work your way back.
