Hospital day 7
I have read all of the comments and all of the emails that you have so lovingly sent to our Mily. Some of you have directed thanks to me for keeping you all up to date. Truth be told - it is my privilege to have been given permission to keep this journal on Mily's behalf and for everyone's peace of mind. Mily remains intubated and sedated with short periods of lucidity. The ETT (breathing tube) is beginning to bother her more; a sign of her increasing awareness of irritants. This is part of the normal progression Mily needs to move through along the road to recovery. She has developed a very mild aspiration pneumonia on the right side - let me emphasize MILD and it is being treated appropriately. This means that when she had her initial injury, she inhaled a small amount of fluid into her lungs and it has caused some swelling and irritation. Today the mission is to detangle and braid her beautiful curls. While off on an errand in the hospital, Millie, Danny and I found Superman mylar balloon at the gift shop. You all must know about her Christopher Reeves/Superman thing - integrity, passion, strength and grace - all of the things Mily is. I must return to SoCal tomorrow, but I will be in close contact with Danny, Millie, and the hospital to keep the updates coming. Millie, Frank, Danny and Ryan are all so appreciative of your love and prayers; it is really helping them stay strong. If they are delayed in answering calls and texts, please accept their apologies; it means they are either with Mily or getting a much needed catnap. Keep those emails coming - Mily's wall still has room for more!

I assume Ryan has out played the crowd at Monopoly and owns all available property. Beth has been replaced as "unbeatable".
