baby steps - evening of hospital day 9
Mily seems to have stabilized out a little this evening. She underwent a bronchoscopy today (a thin scope with a light and camera at the end is introduced into the airway and down into the small airways of the lungs to visualize the tissue and look for trauma, obstructions and the like). They found a large obstruction and were able to clear it; her breathing has regulated out since. Her blood pressure and ICP's are also under better control this evening. Her heart rate is still elevated above normal, but not high enough to cause great concern. She is settled and resting; the family is doing alright but appreciates your well wishes and prayers. Thank you all so very much for your dedication to Mily. tomorrow's post will not likely appear until later in the evening.
