trying to text

'morning all. I spoke with Mily yesterday; her mom was talking about me and then there she wasa trying to dial the phone to get to me. She said "I love, you; thanks for taking care of my mom; I miss you and I'm scared". Her voice is clear but very weak and soft, she speaks better than I thought she'd be able. Her vocabulary is remarkably intact. She's getting up out of bed with someone supporting her on the left side. She's getting more and more feeling to the left leg and seems to be moving it a little more as well. So far that's not the case with the left arm, but rehab is just really getting under way. She's still very afraid though. She truly realizes where she is and where she's been and what lies ahead. She is trying to text - don't be surprised if you get one from her soon - she isn't hitting the keys quite right yet, but it won't take her long! It hurts me to see her so afraid, but warmed my heart so much to talk to her. Keep doin' what you're all doin', she has been read all of your emails, blog updates and even my chatter. She thinks we're all doing a pretty good jopb of banding together and it makes her smile. She's moving along on a good path, an uphill one for a spell, but it'll be okay. Have a blessed day all. B

Well Mils, happy Monday to you!! I hear you are talking on the phone?? That must be able to take care of 1 thing to mark off of your accomplishment list, as I am sure that you are making a list of the things that you want to do again and soon. Makes me wonder what amazing miracle you will perform today? You are already walking with assistance, talking, etc...
With the knowledge that you have of what it is going to take for you to come back 100% I want you to take a look at the progress that you have already made and realize just what a miracle it is that you are already where you are when it wasn't even a month ago when we weren't not sure if you would ever be here with us. Remember slow but steady wins the race, and you my dear are a winner!! You deserve every gold Olympic medal that is out there for the work that you have done to date! You keep up the good work sweetheart and know that we are all still praying for you each and every day. This amazing journey that you are on has been a wild ride and through the wonder of technology we have been on this ride with you, and I hate roller coaster's Missy but so happy to be on this one with you!!
Love you so much and so look forward to talking to you on the phone myself soon! A big hug coming for you, Dan, and Ryan.
